Here is the NG editorial on how the County Board managed to bollix up the dismissal of Curt Deedrich.
On a side note, we see how much attention the editorial board of The News-Gazette pays to county matters as they misspelled Deedrich's name as "Kurt" in the editorial. Next time, someone should ask Paul Wood for a consult.

Possible new slogans for the NG
"Last months news next week"
"If it's news,........It's news to us"
"Where is John Hirschfield when we need Him???"
Personally, I think the NG has covered this plenty. But it certainly didn't resonate much with the public at election time.
The main problem is the intermingling of Political Positions and Professional Postions. For instance, A City Manager is a Professional Position and subsequently is completely separate from any political infulences (except Urbana) and a Chief of Staff position is obviously a Political Postition completely under the influence of a political figure.
Gotta keep them separate.
To that end, I am, and shall always remain; Rex Bradfield
They know exactly how to spell his name. It's just one more slam against him.
I don't care how anyone feels about Deedrich, I think today's editorial was totally uncalled for. It shows a total lack of professionalism on the part of the News Gazette editors.
