If JetBlue caves, that doesn't make O'Reilly right.
It just mean he has a loud and frightening megaphone, and that he's demagogue enough to use it.

Just more reason why I refuse to watch television based news. This kind of hysterical nonsense is just pointless. I'm sure the people who run the DailyKos have said their own share of things I'd vehemently disagree with but I'm not about to blame them for everything people say in their forums and call them a hate group over it. Might as well call America a "hate nation" because some of our citizens say hateful things and we allow them to say it. Just doesn't make any sense.
Part of the problem is that people like O'Reilly and Stevens and others in power (on every level) are tech-illiterate.
I'm sorry---but in this day and age, being knowledgeable about the internet and computers should be *mandatory* if you are in the media or in office.... I'm not saying you have to be a messageboard addict or a blog junkie, but you got to have at least *some* idea of what you are talking about.

Journalists and pundits knowing what they talk about? Surely you jest.
The real problem is with society and its general lack of interest in politics. Unless a talk show host, be it radio or TV, makes the show interesting to watch or listen to people simply will not tune in great numbers. Networks want audiences to tune in large numbers to sell airtime and what better way to do that than have someone on there who will be interesting. I'm not saying anything new here to you all. Some people think O'Reilly is a blowhard, however, many times he has brought up issues concerning child welfare and general injustice as well as shining a light on some obscure organizations that people may not have known much about or knew they existed. Regarding the point he brings up about DK he does make some points. DK has in the past had to shut down threads or not even open some threads for fear of the inevitable hate that follows, the Siepp case being a prime example, but not the only one. Another case would be during last November's election showdown between Joe Lieberman and Ned Lamont. Much was said on DK that was clearly anti-Semitic towards Lieberman that it prompted Clinton's former counsel Lanny Davis to write an OP/ED in the WSJ expressing his concerns. DK, unlike IP, will let hateful comments continue. DK takes action when LGF, Powerline, RS, or Michelle Malkin bring them to light.
Btw, O'reilly's show is an opinion program so people should not be surprised at his content.

Apparently Jet Blue might have seen the show and maybe will change their course.

In a related story, the Earth is round.
Science has not yet proven the Earth is round, and in fact, many Inteligent Cartography advocates have many fine articles showing the earth is flat.

Look closely at O'Reilly in context. He's not harmless, and he's not alone.
