There's lots of chatter about the possibility, today or tomorrow, of the Illinois House and Senate passing either a compromise 12-month budget or another stopgap one-month budget, entirely without participation from the increasingly-irrelvant Gov. Blagojevich. This week's WDWS podcast features Sen. Mike Frerichs, and touches on the budget. But keep checking Capitol Fax Blog for the latest developments.
Also, I hope to have a longer post later about how 2007 and this overtime session has been a huge wasted opportunity for the Illinois Republican Party.

I am not sure what your post will be on the blown opportunity, but I know you'll be right. I feel as if they're not even trying to win elections and/or the hearts and minds of voters, heck...they don't even care about being a minority party!!
