George Ryan has had his appeal denied by Justice John Paul Stevens, Ryan will report to prison tomorrow, Have a nice trip George!

At Thanksgiving after the last election, the big topic at my family's gathering was "how in the **** did Blago get reelected?", and my big question was, "are we going to see a sitting governor indicted on fraud or other charges?".  My parents, who are 60+ and have lived in Illinois all their lives, just shrugged, but I don't think anyone in my family will be surprised if it really happens. I personally think it's a shame it didn't occur before 11-06.  We might have avoided the idiocy of this summer's legislative session.
