Early Voting Ends Today

Today is the last day to vote early at the County Clerk's office for the February 5 Primary election.

UPDATE:  From a comment by County Clerk Mark Shelden:

Just to be clear, voters who will be out of town on election day can still vote on Friday, Saturday, and Monday.

Went and voted today---took a friend with me. It was pretty easy, actually.

It's incredibly easy, and I think anything that makes voting easier is a wonderful thing.

I voted today too, it is really cool.

Is the difference absentee vs. early voting? Early voting is over but absentee voting is still going on?

Just curious....

you can early vote for any reason, you are only supposed to vote absentee if you won't be able to vote on election day for some reason

I heard early voting referred to as "no excuse" and that was (I thought) a really good way to describe it.

I remember voting absentee a couple of times before early voting was possible, and I'm thinking I had to swear that I was not gonna be able to vote at the polls on election day.  I know it was commonly done back then that if you were doing GOTV work or other election stuff that you did do an absentee ballot, but I always was kinda creeped out by it.  I really prefer early voting in a  case like that.

This year I voted early simply because it gave me an excuse to go bug John and Mark at the end of my work day!  :)
