This is the feature I have been waiting for. The more Republicans know Romney, the more they want McCain.
“Everything seemed to have strings attached to it,” the consultant said. “If they were going to make a donation, they wanted a quid pro quo like an endorsement or a donor list or a volunteer program. There’s no interest like self-interest in politics. So when [governors] think their political lives are in a do-or-die situation, that’s not the time to offer help with strings attached.”

what's the RGA?
Republican Governors Association,
I read the story, when you read though it you find its one guys view that the Gov's didn't like him for some "reason". Then you find out later in the story that Huckabee was also the Chairman and many of the Gov's liked him and didn't want to have to pick between the two Pres. Candidates.
Don't ever ask again. :-)
The RGA was the Republican Governor's Association that Romney was a member of in 2006. He was also elected by his fellow Governor's as the President.
Might have been Chairman in 2006 rather than President. Elected head in any event.
