Obama's projected to win Washington and Nebraska in the Dem primary, and he's ahead in LA (with 30% of the votes in). McCain apparently has the GOP nomination sewn up, but I wonder if the Dems will end up with a brokered convention?

CNN.com just projected Obama winning in all three states, and by a relatively large margin. I'm sleepin' easy tonight.
If Clinton's campaign keeps going down the hole (money and votes), I don't think a brokered convention will be an issue.
Next week are primaries in VA, MD, and DC ("The Potomac Primaries"). Clinton is hated in VA, but Bobby Kennedy's kids are campaigning for her in MD. DC has a large African-American population, so Obama has a decent chance there. Wisconsin votes soon, and David Obey has publicly declared for Obama. Obama also expected to get good spillover from Illinois.
Clinton's new strategy is to campaign in TX and OH (early March primary) and try to say these are states "a president has to win". We'll see how well it goes; I am going to call my brother in Austin, TX next week and try to get a campaign pulse reading from him.
At what point is "the inevitable nominee" going to admit the American people don't want her as their president and end this charade? If the good people of NY choose to keep her as their senator, that's their business...And when is HRC going to fire Mark Penn (her campaign strategist) for how poorly this year has gone?
(and how come this is an all-female thread so far? Are we the "Obama girls" of this site??)
just got back from cnn.com
If my calculations are correct, Obama picked up 97 delegates today (plus one vote from superdelegate Obey) vs. 46 for Clinton. (between 96-100% of all precincts reporting.) At this point, Clinton appears to be ahead by less than 50 delegates.
And Maine caucuses tomorrow...
Might be a great weekend for Obama!!!!!!!!!
It's already been a great weekend for Obama, even if Maine goes by the wayside. As much as I'd prefer McCain face the easier target (Hillary), I'm looking forward to a November race between two genuine candidates. I'm still disappointed that Dems didn't go with the candidate who had real experience (Richardson) but I'm still holding out that he may be the eventual VP pick. I think the best ticket the Dems would be Obama/Richardson... the best of idealism and experience. But the Democrats in primaries have thrown up some major disappointments lately. So I won't hold my breath.

Oh no, I want him to get Maine, too...
And VA, MD, DC, TX, OH,...
And I said a few weeks ago that when I saw Bill Richardson on Charlie Rose (couple of months back), it seemed Richardson was positioning himself as VP to whomever Dem. nominee would be.
I'm really curious to see if debates between Obama and McCain will be really civil and about policy differences, or are we going to get flame wars? If they stay civil and interesting, I might actually watch some of them.
HOLY CRAP!!!!
According to poststar.com, Obama beat Clinton by 90% in the Virgin Islands today!! Awesome!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
(I got to this site through capitol fax, go down their list of articles on the right-hand side and look for the list under Obama's picture).
