AG Madigan: IAW Should Lower Rates

From the Daily Southtown, and dealing mostly with water rates in the suburbs:

Illinois American Water, a private utility that has the distinction of charging the highest rates in the state for water, is asking the Illinois Commerce Commission for another rate hike and for approval to keep money for water that was never used by its customers.

Illinois Attorney General Lisa Madigan contends that the utility instead ought to cut its rates by millions of dollars.

Re: 27 layoffs...

Wow, this is absolutly crazy to me...I have been a Nurse/D.O.N. for more then 20 years in Champaign county area and have never used "Agency Nursing" from everything I read, that seems to be the heart of the finacial troubles of the nursing home...

Let me pose this question to the board: Isn't it time to change out the upper Management? They obviously can't get the job done, where's thier notice? Where's thier "Action plan"

I watched a town meeting the other night on television, where a nursing rep stated she knew of more then 20 nursing employees that would return as perm workers "IF" Nusing Management were replaced...Doesn't that tell you something?

I'm promising you, if you replaced the Administrator, DON, ADON and ran an add in the paper "Under all new Management" you would have all the perm staff you needed and would be done with agency/contract Nursing...

Don't you owe it to the Residents to get them the help they need? Andrew has sank this ship long enough! he has had several months to make changes, the only change he's making is less staff, less money=less care for the Residents...

The problem needs to be fixed, which is getting rid of agency Nursing, why hasn't he done that?

My Mother works here, is almost 70, is she going to lose her job beacuse he can't do his?

I just don't get it...Is the Board going to be proactive or not?

HELP!
