I hope Smith gets his life back together, and that the coaches and remaining players realize that the only way this run of embarrassing behavior will stop is if they demand that it stop.

Jamar Smith is getting exactly what he deserves. He should have been kicked off the team the FIRST time. He basically left Brian Carwell for dead in his car, drove drunk, then did not call for help. I know several students and they have told me that he has been drinking, just not got caught. It is sad that he felt he was above the law just because he was a basketball player.

The decision makes sense - Smith was a good player, but probably too disruptive to keep.
