Even after Biden made the comment..."I mean, you got the first mainstream African-American who is articulate and bright and clean and a nice-looking guy ... I mean, that's a storybook, man."

A few hours later, after Biden noticed that his foot was somehow caught in his mouth, he backpedaled with:

"I have spoken with Sen. Obama, I recommend you call him, he understood exactly what I meant and I have no doubt that Jesse Jackson and every other black leader, Al Sharpton and the rest will know exactly what I meant. I have a long, long relationship with these folks. We have been allies. No one is going to misunderstand it. They know what I was saying, and what you all know and everybody else knows, that this a very special guy. This is like catching lightning in a jar. This a guy who has come along in a way that has captured the imagination of the country in a way that no one else has. That was the point of everything I was saying."

Biden was chosen for some gravitas, to make up for the empty suit that is the presumptive democratic nominee,  This is an even worse choice than John Edwards... now the the non-mainstream media has shown Edwards to be the contemptable piece of work that he really is.

Well, Delaware just went from a safe Obama state to, um, a safer Obama state.

It was inevitable:

It's not just that Biden criticized Obama numerous times on his inexperience during the primary campaign, it's that his arguments were valid and accurate... it's that his actual experience puts Obama's inexperience in the spotlight every time they're together. Even Obama supporters being interviewed in the street were mentioning that he 'makes up for Obama's inexperience.'

Obama just admitted Biden was right. And Obama's supporters generally seem to be admitting it too.

Hope, change? Same ol' same ol'.

I really think these guys are going to win in November regardless of what happens before the election.  It really doesn't even matter what is said.  Even Rice now working on an Iraq "withdrawal" PLAN is not going to turn this around.  The American public feels the GOP 'BUSH'wacked the American public.  Not only do I think McCain going to lose but so are a lot of Republican Congressman who supported  this administration' s actions.

All my GOP friends  know the party went against Republican past values and put this 'born-again-nothing' in the White House.  Yes they surrounded him with all the top corporate political I.O.U.  holders but all that did is drive the country into debt while enlarging the federal workforce, ignored Social Security and Medicare funding fixes as promised in 00 and 04 elections------the list goes on.   The public currently sees McCain as George W's MINI ME!!!  Like I said these guys are going to win in November so make some plans now.

LV... you're probably right.  The odds are certainly more favorable of that scenario that any other it seems.  Of course if they weren't running against Bush's imaginary third term, I'm not sure how this duo could be taken seriously, especially together.  2008 has always been the dems to win, I just wish they would have done it with Richardson who was at least qualified to be at the top of the ticket.  But I'll continue to shake my tiny fist and hope that its not in vain.

Who else went to Sweetcorn Festival over the weekend?  I got there a little after 8 on Saturday and saw run4cvrlib and got to meet greencutip for the first time.  I optimistically bought $10 worth of tickets and then discovered that not only did they not have any more sweetcorn, but that some of the more appealing vendors were out of food.  (It should have tipped me off when Garcia's had a huge line.)  Since the tickets were not refundable, I scouted out what was left and almost got something from the Greek food trailer.  When I saw the lady putting food into her mouth as she was cooking it, I decided to go elsewhere and ended up with a salty but semi-edible fish sandwich.

It was fun to see people, and they apparently had some good music.  So next year, I'll probably eat somewhere else first and just come to walk around.

It was nice to see Wayward and we discussed issues, sorry your food choices were cut short. We did talk about having another Blogger Bash, IP what do you think?

"We did talk about having another Blogger Bash, IP what do you think?"

I think it's a great idea, but my opinion doesn't matter all that much.
