Funny. I thought that whole "all men are created equal" bit was an American value and applied very much to royalty.
"Being thoughtful, not rushing to war..."
We're already at war. Obama isn't deciding whether to "rush to war" or not, but rather appears to be questioning his own strategy set forth earlier in the year for a war he campaigned in support of (in spite of dwindling support especially within his own party). You seem to be conflating the non-sensical criticism of the Iraq invasion (that further escalation after over a decade of escalating diplomatic and military responses to non-compliance with the ceasefire agreement was a "rush") with the Afghanistan conflict which was only initially opposed by fringe elements as somehow being inappropriate.
A bit disturbing, though hardly unexpected, to watch the tables turn on whether dissent is "patriotic" or "unamerican" in such short order.

Bowing is exactly like shaking someone's hand. The idea that he should snub people that honor out of some American ignorance of international customs is simply amazing.
I particularly liked the sarcastic reference that he has bowed the the Emperor of Japan who ordered the PH bombing. Sometimes I really think that some of the crazy critics think that the Emperor is some kind of immortal vampire or something.

For what it's worth, the only coverage on the bowing IN Japan itself is how the US right wing is all het up about it, people find that amusing.
What got far more coverage was that Obama called to delay his trip by a day so that he could arrange his schedule to attend a memorial for the people killed in the Ft. Hood shooting. That meant the PM had to change his schedule, and there was some snark about how it was rude. However, the PM didn't have all his own ducks in a row for the meeting either (neither side does) so coverage switched to pointing that out.
The big talk is about the substance of the talks, particularly on moving the Futenma airfield in Okinawa and over any possible civilian aid to Afghanistan after letting expire the "special law" that had been put up to allow (arguably) the operation to refuel US military ships in the Indian Ocean.

I suppose we could add that to the "Bush did it too" with his disgusting suck uppery with the Saudi royals that got brought up so much with the last bow.
Not too surprising that the Japanese aren't all that concerned with our own cultural faux pas stuff as opposed to issues that matter to them. The bowing stuff is obviously more pertinent to Americans and how our values are being represented by our head of state. I'm sure the whole event would have been a non-issue had he not bowed, which is why it was such a pointless symbolic gesture to begin with. Or as one conservative cartoonist put it:
But I'm sure concerns about our founding principles is just a "manufactured rage-asm" because other presidents have fallen short on them in the past. One would figure with all the hype that Obama could do better than Nixon or Bush. Sheesh...

Well the citation is Psalm 109:8... not 109:8-9 or Psalm 109 in general. Hence why the ACLU and Anti-Defamation League spokes-folks in the link above didn't seem to think your hysterical interpretation was intended as much as trying to make a joke with a very specific line out of context. The whole bit is certainly disturbing though and it was probably a bad idea to use it, especially for people who might not want to highlight some of the hateful and childish nonsense in the bible. But perhaps that can be a silver lining to the joke, pointing out the bible can be incredibly stupid and shouldn't be taken seriously. :-)
