The Chicago Tribune today reported that the smallest payment made in Illinois under the Federal Stimulus Program was $6.56 at the Do-It-Right Hardware Store in Champaign as part of a Highway Improvement project in Urbana. How many jobs did that create - other then the accountant??

Greg Novak

That's actually Do-It-Best Hardware, and the only reason I'm correcting you is so I can tell you that their caller ID used to come up as Do It Best Hard.

The tribune or the accountant got the name wrong.

And they shouldn't have changed the caller ID.

Congratulations to Charles Darwin on the 150th anniversary of the publication of "The Origin of Species," and the worldwide scientific revolution it caused.

And a tear of pity for the poor "intelligent design" folks who disguise politics as theology and then disguise that theology as science - only to wonder why they got exactly nowhere.
