Shooter kills 6 in Kirkwood MO.

Somebody missed the signs on this nutcase!  Some armed citizens might have help end it. http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/23059784/

Budget signed by Governor

The  Govenor  "The little boy that thinks he is the Governor" signed the budget today, but not before going after it with a "Pork Axe" the details are here. www.pantagraph.com/articles/2007/08/23/news/doc46cdc2f08c6dd275355167.txt I was reluctant to post this as we are all sick of this clown and his no action on the budget. Again thanks to the people that not once, but twice elected this thief. Let's hope the U S Attorney's office is close to bring Him to justice.

VITO"S GONE!!!!!!!

Channel # 3 is reporting that Vito Palazollo"formerly" of the CUPHD   has been fired this afternoon. The matter has been turned over the Champaign Police Dept. for possible criminal charges stemming from  allegations that were listed in the News-Gazette editorial yesterday.

Where is the News-Gazette on this?

I just now got off the phone with Jim Turpin, of Penney for your thoughts. I saw a link to a story about the CU-MTD being sued  complained about by Allerton Transit Co. for using CU-MTD buses at the John Deere Golf Tournement in Moline, concerning an intergovernmental agreement that Allerton Transit claims is a violation of federal law.  I told him that I had seen a link to the story on, ILLINIPUNDIT.COM open thread 08-01 07  www.badmtd.com A link is posted at the bottom of that page. Why can't the NG dig up this kind of news...or do they want this kept under the radar?

I saw this on Capitol Fax,

I saw this on Capitol Fax Monday. This must have been before  "The Boy Wonder" hired the mortician  I mean make up artist! Look at those eyes!! http://thecapitolfaxblog.com/2007/07/16/caption-contest-8

Congressman William Jefferson D Louisiana indicted on Federal Racketeering Charges

Rep. William Jefferson, D-La., was indicted Monday on federal charges of racketeering, soliciting bribes and money-laundering in a long-running bribery investigation into business deals he tried to broker in Africa.

The indictment handed up in federal court in Alexandria., Va., Monday is 94 pages long and lists 16 alleged violations of federal law that could keep Jefferson in prison for up to 235 years. This is the guy who used a rescue helicopter to retrieve personal items from his hurricane damaged home in New Orleans while conducting a fly-over of his district, Then Federal investigators raided his home and found $ 90,000.00 in cash in his freezer, this guy is truly a piece of work, He makes George Ryan look like a shoplifter!!!

Urbana Park District and the Pledge of Allegiance

Did anyone hear the call on WDWS this morning about the Boy Scouts that would not be allowed to recite the Pledge at an Urbana Park on Thursday ? The caller said the Urbana Park District said the Pledge would offend some people and the Park District had received some complaints. I tried to call the director of the District and was told she was in meetings all day today but she would return my call tomorrow.  I will post any  updates as I receive them. It's too bad that the Pledge of Allegiance offends some people, But that is the symbol of the United States. More often than not the people that can't stand to see anyone honor the Flag are the same ones that sneak into this country to reap the free health care and other give aways that Uncle Sam has so generously provided.

Anonymous posting

I have been a registered poster for a couple of months, it's not that hard to do. I'm more than tired of these "hit & run" posters. Hiding behind anonymity when making personal attacks on anyone that is on here or doing the same to public officials. If you have something to share please do but get a screen name and act like an adult. I would like to see the site require registering and using some kind of screen name, I use my own name, I post nothing here that I would not say to someones face. Let's grow up!!!

Time for the U of I to deal with Kaufman and his bunch

Now that the Chief is gone maybe the Kaufman's and the other educated idiots at the U of I can get back to doing what there paid to do. Their jobs are not to do the so called good work of whatever cause they happen to support at the time! especially on University time or at tax payer expense, How much U of I  time  do you suppose Kaufman used writing all the letters to the sports recruits telling of his hate of the Chief and the hostile racist conditions at UIUC, Things must not have been too bad for Kaufman he stayed here and drew a good salary from the U of I. I read the article in the CU News-Gazette about Kaufman, and did not see any mention of the time Kaufman confronted a group of  young school children and went ballistic when one of them was wearing some Chief clothing. When is the U of I going to tell this bunch " You want to be a activist or whatever you call this kind of misfit  Go ahead but leave the U of I out of it?" People like this use their title of "Professor, University of Illinois" to try to impress others of their ilk that they are somebody  important and you should listen to them.  Kaufman you don't like it here? Why don't you go to Michigan and buddy back up with Nancy Cantor? You two make a good pair!
